2005 Coshocton County Fair Opens--King/Queen Crowned

It was a beautiful crisp morning Saturday as the 2005 Coshocton County Fair officially opened with Fairboard President Rodney Adams and Coshocton City Mayor Tim Turner cutting the ribbon at the Rotary Pavilion. Also present were State Senator Joy Padget, and County Commissioners Kathy Thompson, Dane Shryock and Grant Daugherty. Members of county youth organizations Farm Bureau Youth, Junior Grange, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H, and FFA were present to promote their organizations and activities at the fair.

Megan McPherson, a Ridgewood senior and daughter of Scott and Jacqueline McPhearson, was chosen as queen for the 2005 fair and Adam Fitch, a River View senior and son of Bambi Fitch and the late Dan Fitch, was crowned the 2005 fair king.

The organizing committee thanked the Senior Fairboard and the House of GA Fisher for the court jewelry, Becky Lowe of Liberty Pottery for special plates given to the king and queen, the Roscoe Village Foundation for gift certificates, the Bokay Shoppe for the court flowers, Wells Garden Center for stage flowers, and Mike Bechtol-WTNS for being emcee.
