| The 2005 King & Queen Candidates... |
Interviews were held recently for the 2005 Coshocton County Fair King and Queen Court, and the following candidates were selected. Members ofthe county youth organizations will vote to select the 2005 Coshocton County Fair King and Queen. The king and queen will be revealed in the Rotary Pavilion at the opening ceremonies of the fair on Saturday morning, October 2.

 Adam Fitch Adam Fitch, son of Bambi Fitch and the late Dan Fitch, is a five-year member of Odds and Ends 4-H Club. He has been active in the Junior Fairboard for three years, Junior Leaders, the Beef-Sheep-Swine Teen Board, and the 4-H Advisory Committee. He served as a 4-H Camp counselor for three years. Adam attends the Roscoe UMC. His school activities in which he holds many offices include Math Club, SADD, National Honor Society, Student Council, Letterman’s Club and the Link Crew. He is a member of both the River View Varsity Baseball Team and the Varsity Football Team.

 Erin Ehman Erin Ehman, the daughter of Lew and Cindy Ehman, is a nine-year member of Spring Mountain Climbers 4-H Club-having held many offices, a River View FFA member (Star Greenhand award, top sophomore and junior student awards, State FFA Degree, several judging teams) , and a Farm Bureau Youth member. She is a two-year member of the Junior Fair Board and a five-year member of the Junior Leadership Club. Erin has been on the Beef-Sheep-Swine Teen Board, participated in General Livestock Judging, and the Coshocton/Tuscarawas Lamb and Wool Committee where she has been Lamb & Wool Attendant and the 2005 Senior Ambassador. At school she belongs to Leo Club and participates in sign language. She was an Ohio Corriedale & Heritage Breeds essay winner and was given two ewes and a lamb that she showed at the state fair.

 Mark Fitch Mark Fitch, son of Barb and Dan Loomis, is a nine-year member of Keene Kountry Kids 4-H Club where he represented Coshocton County as a state fair participant with a beekeeping project. He is also a three-year Junior Fairboard member. Mark is an active member of the Keene UMC and its youth group. Being on the golf team and track team rounds out his school activities. He belongs to the Ohio Maple Producer’s Association and was a 2005 judge at the Ohio State Fair for the Maple Syrup Contest.

 Emily Lindsey Emily Lindsey, daughter of Sarah Jane and Rod Lindsey, has been very active in 4-H for ten years and Farm Bureau Youth for five years. She has served for four years on the Junior Fairboard and the Junior Leadership Club, both of which she has held the office of president as well as many other positions. Emily served as a state 4-H Ambassador-where she assisted with Ohio State Fair events, and was a delegate for National trips-Citizen Washington Focus and National 4-H Club Congress in Atlanta, Georgia. Other community involvement includes the county Junior Fair Auction Committee, the Beef-Sheep-Swine Teen Board, the Coshocton County 4-H Advisory Committee, and receiving the Master Speaker Award for giving 15 4-H Public Speeches. She has been president of her high-school class for four years and has participated in soccer and basketball varsity sports. Emily is also active in the Keene UMC Youth Group.

 Jordan Manns Jordan Manns, son of Clint and Joyce Manns, is a nine-year member of Active Achievers 4-H Club in which he has held several offices. He has participated in public speaking contests at the local, district, and state levels. He has also been active in the Junior Fairboard, Junior Leadership Club, served as a 4-H Camp counselor for three years, and was on the Beef-Sheep-Swine Teen Board. Jordan is a member of Sacred Heart Church. His school activities include varsity soccer-the sportsman award, track, and the school play .He enjoys participation in the local ATV Riding Club and has done community service clean-up at Wills Creek and Lake Park.

 Chelsey McPeek Chelsey McPeak, daughter of John S. and Shelley McPeek, has held several offices as an 11-year member of the Kamelid Kushers 4-H Club. She has served for three years on the Junior Fair Board, is a member of the Junior Leadership Club, and has been a 4-H Camp Counselor. Her community involvement includes being a delegate of the Coshocton Youth Foundation Youth Leadership Class of 2005. For four years, Chelsey has been a high school Class Officer and Student Council representative, as well as being on the National Honor Society. She was a three-month exchange student to New Zealand during her freshman year. She currently is in the high school Drama Club-having had supporting roles in three plays and musicals, is captain of the high school swim team, and was selected for the All Ohio State Fair Youth Choir and the Cardinal Chorale. Chelsey is also active in the Coshocton Presbyterian Church Youth Group.

 Judson Renner Judson Renner, son of Sue Renner, is an 11-year member of the Odds and Ends 4-H Club where he has held various offices. He has been a 4-H Camp counselor for three years and is treasurer of the Junior Leaders Club. Attending the Nazarene Church, Judson participates in mission trips and sings in the choir. School activities include varsity soccer-regional finalist, varsity swimming-district winner, and varsity track, the school musical, Math Club, and Link Leader. He also volunteers as a soccer referee at Kids America.

 Megan McPherson Megan McPherson, daughter of Scott and Jacqueline McPherson, is a nine-year member of 4-H-being a state fair participant, a four-year member of Ridgewood FFA-winning a state proficiency award, and a ten-year member of the Girl Scouts. She has served on the Junior Fair Board for two years, and is a two-year member of the Junior Leaders Club. In the community she has been a Safety City volunteer, and was chosen the 2002 Canal Festival Queen where she attended 48 festivals and events. In school she is a three-year varsity letterman in soccer and a two-year junior varsity softball player. Megan is a member of the West Lafayette UMC where she belongs to the Youth Group.
