| The 2006 King & Queen Candidates... |
Interviews were held recently for the 2006 Coshocton County Fair King and Queen Court, and the following candidates were selected. Members ofthe county youth organizations will vote to select the 2006 Coshocton County Fair King and Queen. The king and queen will be revealed in the Rotary Pavilion at the opening ceremonies of the fair on Saturday morning, September 30

 Ethan Ehman
Ethan Ehman, son of Cindy and Lew Ehman, is an eight-year member of Spring Mountain Climbers 4-H where he has shown many projects at the fair, along with sheep and hogs, and has been on the Beef, Sheep and Swine Teen Board for two years. He has belonged to the Junior Leader’s Club for four years, is a four-year River View FFA member, and has been a Farm Bureau Youth member for three years. Ethan has been elected to serve on the Junior Fairboard for the past three years. |

 Katie Croft
Katie Croft, the daughter of Debbie and Neil Croft, is a nine-year member of Keene Kountry Kids 4-H Club where she has been active on the Beef, Sheep and Swine Teen Board, the county Fashion Board, a two-year member of the Junior Fairboard, the Ohio State Fashion Board, a 4-H Camp counselor, and the 4-H Junior Leader’s Club. Katie was first place in county clothing evaluations for nine years and received six Ohio State Fair Fashion Review Outstanding of the Day awards. She has achieved first place in county speaking contests, swine showmanship and was the state winner of the Health and Safety speech receiving a clock trophy and winning a trip to Atlanta for the National 4-H Congress in 2004. As a four-year member of River View FFA, Katie is the District 8 President, on the Parliamentary Procedure Team, a member of the Walhonding Valley Farmers, received second place in the state for a speech at the Ohio Farmland Preservation Summit in 2004, on the CDE State Agronomy Team, and achieved a gold rating for her 2006 SAE project, among other awards and activities. At River View High School she belongs to the Letterman’s Club, National Honor Society, and the Leo Club. Katie is a member of the Keene UM Church.

 Josh Hamric
Josh Hamric, son of Lin and David Hamric, is a 12-year member of 4-H taking such projects as hogs, woodworking, and genealogy, as well as holding many offices in his local club. He was elected for the 2006-07 term on the Ohio State Fair Junior Fairboard, served as a State 4-H Ambassador, attended Citizenship Washington Focus, Leadership Camp, 4-H Camp, and has been a Cloverbud counselor. Josh is a four-year River View FFA member-earning his State FFA Degree, on the National Honor Society, attends Junior Leader’s Club, has been a Farm Bureau Youth member for five years, and is a four-year member of the Junior Fairboard. He attends Nellie Chapel UM Church.

 Allyssa McMullen
Allyssa McMullen, daughter of David McMullen, has been very active in 4-H for eleven years participating in many junior fair and open class shows exhibiting market hogs, dairy cattle, horses and special interest projects. She is a four-year member of the River View FFA, participates in the Tiverton Junior Grange with the honor of being a past state princess, has spent three years serving on the Junior Fairboard, and is in the Junior Leader’s Club. At River View she participates in the marching and concert bands, is a member of the Color Guard, enjoys being a part of the track team, the Leo Club, and the National Honor Society. Allyssa attends Warsaw UM Church where she is involved in the youth group, choir, and is a mission team member.

 Mark Lindsey
Mark Lindsey, son of Sarah Jane and Rod Lindsey, is an eleven-year member of 4-H where he has taken hog projects every year along with many special interest projects. His 4-H highlights include being a 2005 State 4-H Ambassador, a delegate to National 4-H Congress, Citizen Washington Focus, and Pork Leadership Institute. At the Ohio State Fair Mark has exhibited the outstanding market barrow, participated in the Swine Skillathon, and has accepted the clock trophy for shooting sports. He has been a Junior Camp counselor, and Cloverbud counselor, been on the Beef, Sheep and Swine Teen Board, and has held many offices in his local club. He has attended Farm Bureau Youth for four years, has been a four-year member of the Junior Fairboard, a three-year member of the Coshocton Youth Foundation, and attends Keene UM Church. At River View he participates in soccer, basketball, baseball, SADD, and Math Club.

 Tasha Mullett
Tasha Mullett, daughter of Terri and Lynn Mullett, has held several offices as a 10-year member of the Ridgerunners 4-H Club. She also belongs to the River View FFA and has shown market lambs, feeder calves, and breeding heifers at the fair. Tasha is a member of the 4-H Junior Leader’s Club, a member of the Junior Fairboard, as well as the Coshocton Livestock Judging Team. At River View she plays varsity soccer, being co-captain of the team and has been in the Pennine United States Soccer Club for four years. Tasha also belongs to the Letterman’s Club, SADD, the Debate Club, and the Math Club. |

 Ben Young
Ben Young, son of Rajene Fox, is a four-year member of the River View FFA where he is currently president and has earned his State FFA Degree. He has taken hog projects, many shop projects, and has earned several proficiency awards. As a member of the Keene Kountry Kids 4-H Club Ben was a two-time state qualifier in welding. He is a member of the Walhonding Junior Grange, a member of the Junior Fairboard, secretary of the Junior Leader’s Club, and has been a 4-H Camp counselor for two years. |

 Lindsey Wilson
Lindsey Wilson, daughter of Linda and Bob Wilson, has taken livestock and special interest projects and has been a state fair participant in 4-H. She is on the Junior Fairboard. Lindsey has exhibited hay and shop projects at the fair by being a member of the River View FFA. In FFA she has received her Greenhand and Chapter Degrees, participated in CDE contests, the Ohio Envirothon, and the Washington Leadership Conference. At River View she belongs to the Leo Club, the National Honor Society, was an Environmental Education counselor, and has been a four-year member of the Student Council. |
