The Coshocton County Fair Board has come up with the following plan to hold a Jr. Fair Only for the 2020 Fair. This decision has not been an easy one for us to make and we have done our best to give our youth a chance to showcase their projects, while also conforming to the current guidelines, keeping both our youth and the community safe.
-Jr. Fair Livestock shows will be held over 4 days according to a modified schedule which is attached. There will be No Showmanship, No Costume Class, No Fitting and No Pee Wee Classes. There will only be Market and Breeding Classes as pertains to each Specie. Animals will be hauled in and will be expected to leave the grounds within 1 hour after the show ends.
-There will be a limited number of spectators allowed at all Jr. Fair Shows. Entry will be by wristband only as to help control the crowd in accordance with Social Distancing. Each exhibitor will get a wristband for themselves, a wristband for someone to go in the makeup area with them, and a wristband for a spectator.
-ALL Jr. Fair Shows will be Live Streamed as to allow for those family members that will not be able to attend, or do not feel comfortable attending to watch online. Please stay tuned to Facebook and the Website for instructions on how to access the Live Streams.
-The Jr. Fair Livestock Auction will be a Premium Sale that will be completely online for 2020. Pre-bidding will open on Tuesday October 6th at 5:30pm. The Auction will go Live online with an auctioneer on Thursday October 8th at 5:30pm. Add-Ons will open on Thursday October 8th at 5:30pm and will run up to one week after the live auction. Please stay tuned to Facebook and the Website for the link to the Auction.
- If you are having any trouble with getting rid of your market animals for the 2020 fair please contact Ron Seitz at 740-252-2470 for available options on marketing those animals. We have buyers for quite a few animals and orders to fill.
-There will be No Amusement Rides, No Commercial Vendors and No Midway Games for the 2020 Fair Season. We will be having 8 or 9 Food Vendors that the Public can come down and get food, following the social distancing guidelines.
-We will be having Harness Racing on Saturday October 3rd and Sunday October 4th. There will be No Spectators allowed in the Grandstand.
-Please stay tuned to our Website and Facebook for continued updates and information. We appreciate your patients as we move forward with a Jr. Fair Only for 2020.
